Let me help you build the healthy life you deserve!
Health and wellness is not just about diet and exercise. Health and wellness includes our relationships, our home environment, our career, our ability to express ourselves creatively and more. My job is not to tell you what to do; my job is to collaborate with you and to empower you to find ways to help you be the best you. Often times, my clients discover that an area of their lives was needing to be "fed" and that once that area of their life received the tender love and attention that was needed, things like diet and exercise fell into place a little easier.
This is your journey. My education and experience allows me to support you in that journey. I do not believe in a "one size fits all" health plan. Each client's needs are different and their journey is different. My job is to help clients improve their health and achieve a higher level of life satisfaction that can be maintained and embraced. That is not to say I won't provide information so that you can make educated decisions on what is best for your body; however, I do not subscribe to any one particular diet or exercise plan other than eating whole nutritious food and finding a way to move your body that uplifts your mood and energizes your physical self. It is your journey to discover what that looks like for you.
My education, training and certifications complete my coaching arsenal – allowing me to provide you, the client, with the tools and methods you need to achieve your goals. My approach is collaborative and client focused because ultimately you need to be the one to set your agenda. If I tell you what to do, I'm no more than another diet plan that won't last. I don't believe in pills or diet books. I believe in a client-centered process that mobilizes your internal strengths and your external resources to empower you to achieve self-determined goals and help you close the gap between where you are today and where you want to be in the future!
After spending a couple of years coaching people in their pursuit of wellness, I found a common theme. Many of us put our health and wellness on hold as we raised our children or pursued our careers. It can be overwhelming to re-start fitness after years of physical inactivity. I believe in a gentle approach by meeting people where they are physically and encouraging them, not overwhelming them. I believe in gains without pain and I will never yell at anyone to push harder. As we age, it is imperative to maintain our muscles, our flexibility and our balance. That is the focus of my classes and my one on one fitness training.
